Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her
father. She is the middle child. She has one older sister, Natasha Chalke and
one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut on TV in a made-for-TV
film called City Boy (1992). After her debut film her audition, she was cast in
1993 for the role "Becky" from Roseanne (1988). Following the time
that Alicia Goranson left the show to attend college the show was in search for
a replacement. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995 while filming the
1994-95 Roseanne (1988) season. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in
Ernest Goes to School (1994). Then, in 1996 she was in two films in which she
starred, including Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996),
where she played a cheerleader "Krista Wilson". Sarah was also
invited to star in a television series called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy
(1998) the same year following Roseanne (1988). It was based on the television
movie of the same name and title, called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998)
that Sarah was also a part of. The role was taken over by Becky on Roseanne
(1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She declared that she'd like to quit
acting and pursue a degree in college. 2001 (1993-1997) She played Sara
Gilbert's elder sibling on Roseanne (1988), although she's much younger real
life. She was a part of the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, in which she received an
award for best single of the year. September 1999: Appeared at age of 8 in
Vancouver's theatre productions. Can speak fluently in French and German. She
volunteers at an organization that provides care for patients who are dying.
Chalke likes cooking with her group of friends, especially Thai and sushi, as well
as playing guitar. She also enjoys ski (she is an instructor) kayaking,
snowboarding, kayaking as well as reading. Her father is an attorney and both
of her parents run an agency for adoption of children. She went with her
parents to China two years ago to assist in coordinating the adoptions of
orphans.
