Paula Patton

Paula Patton was the daughter of Joyce (Vanraden), and Charles Patton. Her father is African American, while her mother is caucasian and is of German, English and Dutch heritage. Her family lived on the same street as the 20th Century Fox lot when she was growing up , and she was a lover of movies since her earliest days. Her mom was a school teacher and her father was an attorney. Paula claims that as an teen she would get away from the world by "pretending to pretend to be someone else" therefore it wasn't the case that she appeared in plays for high school at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School. Her most loved role was "Abigail" from "The Crucible". In the end, she chose to learn film at the University of Southern California in the summer program and received a three-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. In the end, she was able to work as a production associate in TV documentaries and on Howie Mandel’s talk show. In the following years, she was a producer of documentaries for Medical Diaries (2000 on Discovery Health Channel). Paula says she is passionate about the work she does, but her goals were the same. She began acting classes and changed gears to become a performer. She became a household name almost immediately and was in Hitch (2006), Idlewild (2006) as well as Deja Vu (2006) as the female lead.
