Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from the US. She previously worked as the TV reporter for ABC News. She is
famous for her work as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 to
2018 and in her role as co-host on The View from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that
she was co-anchor for America This Morning (World News Now) and America This
Morning (America This Morning). After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to limited TV opportunities the company
employed her in radio sales. After one year working as a production assistant
at WKEF/WRGT, she was eventually able to report and anchor occasionally. She
was the weekend anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati as well as the anchor for
weekdays at WCPO TV in Cincinnati between 2002 and 2005. Her contract was
terminated and she was a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV,
Chicago, from November 2005 through December 2011. She was hired by ABC News the
news division in December of 2011. Her first appearance on the network came on
the 2nd of January, 2012 on ABC's World News Now, and America This Morning. At
times, she appeared as a fill-in on Good Morning America as well as being a
correspondent. She was later promoted as a reporter based in New York for the
entire ABC News programs. Her final episode of World News Now and America This
Morning was on January 22 13. On September 9, 2014, she debuted as co-anchor of
Good Morning America Weekend, following the departure of Bianna Golodryga.
Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. News. Her contract was renewed by ABC for the
20th season on August 3. Season 21 was also the first season she was renewed as
co-host. She was most visible in the 21st and 22nd seasons of the show.
