She educated at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas. She obtained her BFA in acting at Stephens College, and also attended the British American Drama Academy. She also worked for six years with the Dallas Theatre Center, and one year with Encore Company. Before she made her big screen debut, she began her acting career in the theater. Elizabeth was able to show off her charismatic acting talents following Frequency (2001 featuring Dennis Quaid) and Neil LaBute’s sci-fi time travel adventure Nurse Betty ((2000) with Rene Zellweger).
