Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was born in New York City to actors Melissa D. Canaday and Edward James Hyland. She entered the industry at the age of 4 working in commercials and voice-overs. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. The Object of My Affection was her next film. Sarah was a part of in Another World (1964), as Rain Wolfe, a child who was found in the park and was fostered by Josie. Sarah would continue to work alongside Amy Carlson ("Josie") several times: Falcone (2000) and Law & Order (1990) and Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was cast in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story(2000) as one of the younger Audrey Hepburns. The following year, she was a part on ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999), featuring Audra McDonald, Victor Garber, Kristin Chernoweth, Joe Gould’s Secret ((2000) and Falcone ((2000)). Sarah has studied jazz, voice hip hop, tap Theatre Dance and voice. She also performed in her class in tap and Theatre at "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers. Sarah was born in New York and raised in New York. Her mother raised her until she was two years young. Then she went to public school. In 6th grade she was accepted to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) in which she remained until she graduated in 2008. Sarah, who was now 18, relocated to Los Angeles, CA, where she landed a pilot with the name "My American Family". The name was changed to Modern Family (2009, after Sarah was picked). Sarah is currently "Haley Dunphy", an the oldest Dunphy children. Modern Family (2009) has won multiple awards most notably the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.
