Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18, 1979) is an American actor from America. She is most well-known for her roles in the role of Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara The Darkness in the eleventh season of Supernatural. She was also the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played a small role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on 18 December 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family was raised in Sterling, Virginia, as well as Jacksonville, Florida. While at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville She began her acting career in a variety of college, amateur professional and amateur stage productions. Swallow obtained a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies for an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She was a part of the world premiere of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse as well as in a duet with Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins in the production of Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, and in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. She was awarded the Falstaff Award for best Female performer in the year 2010 for her performance in Kate in the play The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman created the stage show Jac N Swallow that they staged in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show is about their hilarious misadventures in dealing with various life situations.
