Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, who was born on July 23, 1970 was an American actor. She played Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She was also a part-time actress in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] daughter of Christine who was a bird sanctuary worker as well as Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter attended the Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also part of a troupe that performed in song and dance which was a part of Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family moved to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) at the age of Carpenter was 15 years old. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was on a tour to Europe after graduating. When she returned to San Diego, she worked as a video store clerk, an aerobics instructor, and in property management. In 1991, she worked as an official cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team. Her move to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. confronted her along with two male acquaintances as they were swimming in San Diego. He was a former San Diego cop and serial rapist who attempted to subdue them with a gunpoint. In the midst of the struggle that ensued, her companions and Hubbard were shot, causing Hubbard to flee the scene. Both friends were able to escape the assault. Hubbard was convicted and sentenced to 56 years prison for a string of rapes, burglaries. Carpenter Hubbard was arrested and convicted.
